<p>ANNOUNCEMENT:<br />
Our annual meeting is scheduled for <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 6:30PM</strong></span> in the large meeting room of the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Richfield Branch of the Akron-Summit County Public Library</strong></span>, located at 3761 S. Grant St. Richfield, Ohio. Grant Street is located across from the Richfield Post Office branch.</p>
<p>A major goal of ours for 2012 is to improve timely communications between the Board and Deer Creek residents, as well as providing a forum for residents to offer ideas, comments and announcements such as neighborhood gatherings. To that end, we are in the process of updating the Home Owners’ Association (HOA) website, <a title="DeerCreekReserve.com" href="http://www.DeerCreekReserve.com">DeerCreekReserve.com</a>, with a link to recent Board announcements and information regarding the operation of our development. When you see the “Important Information” signs posted at each entrance, please go to the website for announcements from the HOA Board. We will discuss the use of the website at the meeting.</p>
<p>In addition to the normal maintenance expenditures made each year, we have compiled a listing (attached) of various projects which we feel would help to improve our community and maintain property values throughout Deer Creek Reserve. If you have ideas for additional improvements, we encourage you to contact us prior to January 1, 2012 so that your ideas can be incorporated into the January 10th agenda. The meeting will include a discussion of these projects and their associated costs in addition to the current annual HOA dues of $300.</p>
<p>In order to maintain the most current contact information for our homeowners, we ask that you please email the following information to our HOA Board member, <a href="mailto:paallen@uakron.edu?subject=Deer Creek Resident Contact Info">Phil Allen</a>.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Richfield Village Mayor&#8217;s run-off election will take place on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The run-off is required by the Richfield Village charter. It will be between the top two vote-getters from the November 8 election; which were Bobbie Beshara and Ralph Waszak.</p>
<p>I, Steve Morris, will be voting for Ralph Waszak because I trust that he will focus on smart economic development, while also preserving the &#8220;green&#8221; community that we all love so much.  Regardless of your candidate preference, please remember to get out and vote so that your voice is heard.</p>
<p>Here is a note from Ralph Waszak Jr. that explains in greater detail why Waszak Sr. is the best candidate.<br />
<em>&#8220;As you may know, my dad, Ralph Waszak, Sr., is running for mayor of the Village of Richfield. While I am obviously biased, I truly do believe that he did a very good job while serving as Richfield&#8217;s mayor for 8 years before being term limited out and serving on council for a total of 12 years. While he may not talk much about it, I personally think he was the most instrumental public official in Richfield who set the Kinross Lakes corporate office park in motion, including the negotiations to bring the Cleveland sewer line south from Brecksville. He knew that there was one shot at creating a quality development once the lines were extended. We are now the beneficiaries of the income tax base and property tax base that Kinross Lakes has created. While it is not in the Village, he was instrumental in getting the Trust for Public Land to acquire and ultimately transfer the Coliseum property to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, to a point where was honored at the site by the national park for his assistance. Over the past 25 years, he has been involved in one way or another in just about every major project that has benefited our community. While many have forgotten some of these steps, dumb luck didn&#8217;t put Richfield in the enviable position that it now sits as a wonderful community to live and raise our children. Good governing and leadership did.&#8221;</em></p>
